Filing a Claim Through Liberty Mutual

The steps to filing a claim through Liberty Mutual are quick and easy. You simply need the following information:

Your Liberty Mutual insurance card
Your Vehicle Identification Number
The date and time of the incident (this is referred to as Date of Loss in insurance terminology)
Information on how and where the damage to your windshield occurred
Size of the damage

What does my Liberty Mutual insurance windshield repair claim cover?

Luckily, comprehensive coverage covers a wide range of incidents. In addition to occurrences such as natural disasters and vandalism, windshield damages are also one of the events where comprehensive coverage applies.

Customers who have comprehensive coverage in the state of Florida are not liable to pay for any expenses related to windshield repair or replacement.

According to Florida Statute 627.7288, deductibles do not apply to motor vehicle glass.

The full statute reads as follows:

"Comprehensive coverage; deductible not to apply to motor vehicle glass.—The deductible provisions of any policy of motor vehicle insurance, delivered or issued in this state by an authorized insurer, providing comprehensive coverage or combined additional coverage shall not be applicable to damage to the windshield of any motor vehicle covered under such policy."
